School-based Prevention/Intervention for At-Risk Youth

  • Focuses on major social and psychological factors contributing to poor academic performance and substance use/abuse. A research-based curriculum is taught to 6th – 12th grade students in four local school divisions: Tulsa, Broken Arrow, Jenks, and Union.
  • Palmer provides resources, materials and tutoring support to students and teachers.
  • We provide evidence-based prevention education in the classroom, family prevention education programs in the community, alcohol, drug and tobacco presentations, and activities that teach youth how to have positive fun, honor culture and diversity, and master new skills.
  • Additional services include programs that assist youth to get back on track.  Each course focuses on a specific topic: building conflict resolution skills, reducing truancy and theft and preventing drinking and driving.
  • Services for students are at no charge
