In an effort to encourage overall fund development for local nonprofit agencies, by including planned gifts alongside annual fundraising and capital campaigns, Tulsa Community Foundation (TCF) launched the Planned Giving Partnership (PGP) in November 2008. Originally, 30 nonprofit agencies participated and 8 additional agencies joined in 2010.
The PGP program is designed to encourage agencies to consciously build endowment gifts through planned giving. Planned gifts are gifts to charity from donors’ assets, rather than gifts from donors’ income. Common planned giving vehicles include wills, revocable trusts, charitable trusts and charitable gift annuities.
With a continued increase in need for substance abuse treatment services and knowing that the need will continue to be greater than our resources, Palmer is looking to the future and how to build sustainability for years to come. To that end we have partnered with the Tulsa Community Foundation Planned Giving Partnership Program which provides an essential tool for our organization. This partnership establishes the Palmer Planned Giving Office, providing complimentary, confidential and professional planned giving guidance, as well as building a sustainable future through endowment. Planned gifts may include wills, trusts, gift annuities or other planned giving tools customized to your specific needs.
